March Mission: Koh Oknha Tei
For our monthly mission in March, the PPAWS team were joined by three international veterinary volunteers! The team spent 2 days in Koh Oknha Tei (Silk Island) and one day at Toul Tompoung Pagoda, where we offered medical care to animals in these communities.
We completed:
🐾 5 male dog castrations
🐾 9 female dog spays
🐾 57 rabies vaccinations
🐾 69 deworming, flea and tick treatments
🐾 1 TVT treatment
🐾 1 unwell cat taken into our practice for testing & treatment
We want to say a huge thank you to our friends at Women United For Animal Welfare – WUFAW for sponsoring our mission, to our kind hosts at Koh Oknha Tei and Toul Tompoung Pagoda, to our international volunteers Dr. Laura Simpson, Dr. Adam Jones and Amiee Davies, and to everyone who made this mission a success.
