May 2025 Mission: Toul Tompoung Pagoda, Phnom Penh
We visited Toul Tompoung pagoda and provided emergency veterinary care, spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, deworming and parasite treatments to animals living there.
Our team, joined by international vet volunteer Dr. Elizabeth Cameron, spent 2 days in Toul Tompoung Pagoda for our monthly mission, sponsored by our long-term supporters WUFAW – Women United for Animal Welfare.
On this mission we completed:
🐾 9 cat spays
🐾 1 cat castration
🐾 1 dog castration
🐾 7 rabies vaccines
🐾 31 deworming, flea and tick treatments
We brought some female cat spay patients back to PPAWS to support their recovery, while others went into foster homes organised by friends of Toul Tompoung Pagoda. We also brought several unwell cats back to the PPAWS hospital for testing and supportive therapy, and others for FPV (parvovirus) testing and treatment. These cats have since recovered, some have been rehomed, and the others released back to the pagoda.
We’d like to thank WUFAW for their ongoing support of our missions, and to everyone who helped make this mission possible.
